Dear Future Me.



Well I'm pretty sure at the point when I'm reading this, it will be the future me, be it the next couple of second, minute, hour, day, week, or year. I doubt there is anyone left who is bothered to read this space of mine, therefore I shall from now onwards sort of well, talk to myself :) hah! My own little personal space which I will eventually laugh at myself for whatever nonsensical stuff that I've blogged, for example now? To be honest, I have no particular thing I want to blog about, or maybe there are too many awesome things happening around me, or maybe I'm just taking everything negative to something positive? Something that is worth celebrating is the approved PR application (not myself), at least now another secured platform is built, one step at a time :)

And also my ARCH 401 design was chosen by my team mates to be brought forward for ARCH402, where we were to develop the chosen design to something feasible and buildable. Definitely feel honored and happy to have my design chosen! Hopefully we will execute for this group project! ;) I must say, a year out working (15 months to be exact) has indeed build and nurture me into someone more mature, at least for the field of architecture. Til now, I still feel blessed to land myself in one of prestigious Uni in UK to continue my Masters, especially when everyone says that it is impossible to continue Masters in the UK if we take our undergrads in the University of Melbourne (outside UK). Oh well, action speaks louder than words, and nothing is impossible as long as we keep the will and faith burning. Currently working on another group project, ARCH407 Construction and Management for passive design research to make a report. Surprisingly, I find it quite fun (besides being undeniably educational) and never had I felt this thrill while gaining knowledge because I know if I were to study about this without a year out gaining experience, I would definitely fret about this assignment, grumble and agitated by the fact that we have to do this lousy crap assignment because I used to think Architect just have to draw and visualize and let the structural engineer work things out (?!). However for now, I take it as an assignment which broadens our knowledge in architecture which will be very useful when we spread our wings to be an Architect. Yeah, I think I will want to be an Architect one day. Long way still to go. Again, one step at a time.

Have I mentioned that traveling in the UK is AWESOME? Loving the train system here, convenient and efficient. Spent my weekend at Glasgow which is of course enjoyable, and I am loving my Country Road travel bag (yes the one that everyone is using in Australia) which acts as my TRAVEL PILLOW. Love the fact that the train is not always full, which enables us to occupy 2 seats and all I have to do is put my Country Road and one end and spread my legs to another seat. Well, if you can imagine. And the fact that the train station is within walking distance to where I'm living, awesomeness. Bought my ticket to London for Christmas, yes BOXING DAY gaga oohlala which only costed £7.60 and the Eurostar ticket to Paris from London £84 return ticket. Now you know the reason why we choose to save and TRAVEL here!! And have you soaked in the fact that 2011 is coming to an end?! I haven't even get used to writing 2011 yet whenever I write dates and now 2012 is approaching! Just in case it is the end of the world, I want to tell everyone, live life to the fullest!

Alright Monday tomorrow, but there's no class. Yes first I have Friday off and now Monday as well, but everyday is working day for us architecture students. Notice I no longer spell architecture as architOrture? hehehehe well for now! Hopefully this positive attitude stays! ;) Oh it should, it is, and it will, do you hear that, the future me? *stern eyes. 

Have I also mentioned that I'm going to Dublin this weekend!?! And it is another new country - Ireland, not part of UK! Time to update my TripAdvisor map. From 16 countries to 17 now, well next week when I'm back! :D Have a great day ahead, to whoever who is reading this. xo! Love life, no regrets! :)

Pursuit of Happyness




My 1st project is in near completion. 
A&A on a Conservation Building located in Historic District.
TOP inspection soon and there are many people I want to thank especially my dear sister in the office, PeyChee who have guided me all the way through the project. 





More to come tomorrow on another project. 
Time management and coordination are vital to survive in the world of Architecture.
And also being 2 faced,2 different personalities, one in front of the Client, another in front of the Contractor.

I Need 48 hours a day.


And with the ability to control time with a remote control.

Press pause button and play button as I like, just like the movie Switch.

Now I know why they choose an Architect to play the role.


Currently loaded with 3 projects, plus drafting works.

It's almost time when I manage my own projects and start meeting clients on my own I'm so scared T-T


Why must 3 months probation period pass so quickly????


Universal Studios Small AGAIN last Saturday was quite a tiring one.

Took the Mummy ride TWICE and planned with only 5 minutes waiting time, where in fact there wasn't any queue at all miraculously, I could sit that ride all day long. Seriously, I will think twice to come USS again even if there's free tickets. TOO SMALL AND NOTHING TO PLAY ALREADY PLEASE?!


Sunday with the 3 petite pretty fair babes in the Lion City was awesome, camwhore like siao with 600+ snap shots in 12 hours. Let me do the math: 600 in 12 hours, 1 hour = 50 snap shots. WTF I'M TAKING PICTURE EVERY MINUTE SOMEBODY SLAP ME PLEASE OKAY I'LL SLAP MYSELF.

Despite the hectic working schedule and non-stop outings, I must say life is treating me really good.

I'm really blessed and thankful popi popi. Not to mention that somebody special :))

A little Time to Spare..

And I just realized the clock just ticked pass 12am.
It's way past my 11pm sleeping time!
Okay tonight will be an exception since I'm gonna hit the site first thing in the morning without needing to clock in at 9am in the office.
Talking about that, I have been reaching earlier than 8.45am recently. I wonder why :)

Life is great, watch the 'pursuit of happYness' last weekend. Very meaningful story which I stupidly missed out for the last 4 years. I can watch that movie again and for a person that don't watch movie more than once, this is major. Perseverance, and believe in ourselves, and with all the positive force and attitude, something great actually lies ahead of us, waiting to be achieved :) blah I'm too tired to continue squeezing my brain juice I should stop here, and as always with vain pictures without specific reasons.

Well, 'tidy' is just not in my dictionary :(

I'm actually very happy with my working life, well at least we get to sleep compared to uni-studio-rushing-days.



Oh yea those are plans for tomorrow's site visit, that's when I love my bag more for being able to fit in folded A1 size architectural plans while maintaining the chic and young look. wtf syok sendiri *slaps.



Okay that's all I was just bored might be going to Universal Studios Singapore again this Saturday.

Free ticket so why not?? lol

T.G.I.FRIDAY.!!!

Mee suggested to name this title "T.G.I.Friday" instead of "I'm Beginning to Love Fridays"


Okay obviously everyone LOVES Fridays, especially when it comes to working life when we get to wake up 'naturally' the next day rather than being awakened by the horrendous alarm noise. Yes I use the word noise rather than sound. Work is starting to stress me out. Being named as the "Architect" in the working drawings comes with a price. There are just too many things to learn and know about, plus being meticulous is just not me! I am LiYin and I always pull off my designs with the excuse of being LiYinism. Even lecturers know that I don't do straight lines, cubics and LiYin just wouldn't go in line but now, nothing works for only being creative. We have to be practical AND creative simultaneously. I thought I'm a veteran in multi-tasking, apparently working life prove me wrong hands down :( Lucky thing I still have the excuse of being the youngest (the baby of the company blah I wonder if it's a good thing =-= ) and with that, space and time is needed for development and improvement.

Heck that all the grumblings, here comes the weekend and I love my fellow colleagues ❤ :)
