And I just realized the clock just ticked pass 12am.
It's way past my 11pm sleeping time!
Okay tonight will be an exception since I'm gonna hit the site first thing in the morning without needing to clock in at 9am in the office.
Talking about that, I have been reaching earlier than 8.45am recently. I wonder why :)
Life is great, watch the 'pursuit of happYness' last weekend. Very meaningful story which I stupidly missed out for the last 4 years. I can watch that movie again and for a person that don't watch movie more than once, this is major. Perseverance, and believe in ourselves, and with all the positive force and attitude, something great actually lies ahead of us, waiting to be achieved :) blah I'm too tired to continue squeezing my brain juice I should stop here, and as always with vain pictures without specific reasons.
Messy messy table after one-day of rushing, rushing, and rushing.
And that is after a little tidying up. Well, 'tidy' is just not in my dictionary :(
Knock knock, what's in the bag?
Fatigue look, talking about sleep in the world of architecture.
I'm actually very happy with my working life, well at least we get to sleep compared to uni-studio-rushing-days.
Oh yea those are plans for tomorrow's site visit, that's when I love my bag more for being able to fit in folded A1 size architectural plans while maintaining the chic and young look. wtf syok sendiri *slaps.
Okay that's all I was just bored might be going to Universal Studios Singapore again this Saturday.
Free ticket so why not?? lol
OKAY I NEED TO SLEEP BYE.
Have a great day ahead everyone. Remember to keep the positive energy running :)
Thankful that what is and has been happening in my life.
Being Beyonce-schedule-ing for the past few weeks, I must say life has been really joyful and fruitful. No doubt here comes the headache when it comes to dealing with various different projects, meeting clients and rushing for deadlines and submissions, I take all those as opportunities to learn while being thankful for that.
Everybody says I eat a lot, especially after Shanghai trip when the true colours of everyone finally disperse. I'm quite dubious about that, do I really eat that much? hmmm :)
Company is planning for a trip to Spain next April, which will be very very soon. OMG SPRING IN EUROPE SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL ME THE REASON NOT TO GO?!
Plus the 100% paid for offer minus the 1 year bond which will clash with my plans to continue my studies.
So many decisions to make in life, and considering what I've achieved so far, I'll let the law of attraction take the toll (Yes I'm still a 'staunch' believer in that)
Oh yea I'm blogging now because of OT last night til 6am this morning, and just like doctors, we get a day off. In fact we are better than doctors coz they will have to work til 12pm the next day while we are 6 hours less. Blah my sentences are so boring I can fall asleep now. Talking about sleep, I've only slept for less than 4 hours since I came back at 6am when Jia's morning alarm rang. Work shift! lol
Oh well I should stop here before i actually serenade you to sleep,
and as always, vain queen with vain pictures in every post without any specific reason:
Okay that's all.
Maybe I shall blog about Shanghai trip later? YOG fever?
Yes yes facebook is doing all the wonders time to play the piano.
Hmmm come to think of it, it might be the piano that is occupying my time.
Don't you just love to have things you love around you??? *hugs piano tight*
So it has been more than a week since I've last updated!
Touched down on Monday night and before we manage to gasp some Singapore air, off we go back to work the next day, and with Tender award plus piling up mails, I cannot imagine how it is like to be the rest considering I'm already going through quite a stress for just being an insignificant small Architect Assistant. Oh well, Shanghai trip was awesome sizzling hot (literally) plus awesome gang to just click click snap non-stop taking nonsense pictures of each other me likey ;)
Honestly, China is developing crazy fast. I don't remember Shanghai being despite the second time visiting, except for the 2 balls Shanghai Oriental Tower. It has been almost 10 years since the first time visiting, how time flies!
We have to keep ourselves hydrated to keep us alive for these 5 days. Never again I will visit expo during summer time, seriously the heat and the people mountain people sea are murderous. And it's no joke when it comes to heat stroke. Blah!
I still had fun :D
My cupid Pey Chee!!
my 姐妹;)
I love shopping there omg plus the strong SGD.
Never in my life I feel so rich. *slaps*
Okay I'm so happy it's finally the weekend, time when I can just chill~~~
Jia and her deary are off for YOG opening ceremony.
I shall continue editing pix and upload in Facebook and editing photos has never been this easy all hail Adobe Lightroom please!! *hallelujah*
It was pork ribs weekend! We had pork ribs for the 2 consecutive days, one in Tony Roma's and Cafe Cartel today. Which is the winner???? Too bad there is no DSLR to capture the heartful set dishes we had just now in Cafe Cartel (I get very upset when I realize I don't have my camera with me (which is very seldom because I ALWAYS have my trusty Canon delighting me always compact camera with me), or I have a camera but without SD card in it! Very very angry!) but lucky thing I have at least an iPhone hallelujah mamamia! (Or I would be walking back just to get a SD card) Okay enough craps, we had great food just now and I must say....
CAFE CARTEL BEATS TONY ROMA'S HANDS DOWN!!!
Seriously!
Reasons in point form wahlao very pro:
Plus an additional 10% discount for citibank member on top of the discounted pork ribs set, the total bill only cost us $52 for 3 sets, instead of $74 for 2 sets yesterday in Tony Roma's!
Besides the reasonable pricing, the pork ribs in Cafe Cartel is so much more succulent than Tony Roma's, which is rather dry and tough.
Again, reasonable price in Cafe Cartel, $15.90 for half a rib (6 pieces of bones) and yes, pigs have 12 ribs just like human beings and don't worry I just found that out yesterday talking about general knowledge blah.
Cafe Cartel provides FREE FLOW OF BREAD which is just awesome for kiasu people, and we cannot deny that everyone in this world is kiasu, unless you are Warren Buffett.
Great service in Cafe Cartel and they don't scrutinize when we decided to take-away our left-overs. It was Bishan Junction 8's Cafe Cartel we visited and everyone was very friendly, unlike the Orchard Hotel's Tony Roma's waitress that served us which was rather unpleasant she will be first to be kicked out if she were to join 'Can You Serve'.
We had a satisfying lunch with $52 compared to being half-full in Tony Roma's with $74.
I think Ribs BarBQue in Penang still ranks no.1 in my list for pork Ribs, or maybe the Hurricane's Grill at Darling Harbour, Sydney? Oh how I wish Ribs is still there for me to taste it to decide :(
Taken in Hurricane's Grill and the guy behind looks like Justin Timberlake me no kidding!
Darling Xinyun and I.
Xinyun, me and WeiQian!
The babes okay I should stop here. Maybe it's time to upload some pix into facebook and tag :D
lousy quality photos taken using iPhone @ Cafe Cartel:
The soup of the day as starter.
So many choices of food, plus a complimentary macaroni salad!
Carefully grilled while maintaining the juicy succulent meat.
See how deep the fork is in!? 1cm + and wakalukong, I am not kidding.
DSLR for the next visit is a must!
@ Cafe Cartel.
Many many dishes from starter, free flow of bread, a cup of soft drink, and not to forget a sundae ice-cream as dessert, which only cost $52.50! *claps*
Don't be deceived by the quality of the photos because I will still vote for Cafe Cartel if the price is the same, or even slightly higher. Tony Roma's is just too over-rated.
There goes my blunt attempt for a food critic blog post, which I find it quite entertaining to write and I think I want to be a part-time food critic and it will be too good to be true if there is free food every weekend! :D
