Almost End of the Year 2010.

October has come and go so quickly. And officially it's almost end of Year 2010. What have I done this year? What have I achieved? It scares me knowing the fact that time waits for no man, half way reaching the book "The Secret of Shelter Island" by Alexander Green. It's amazing how much we can read in the MRT to and fro from work which proves we spend 1/8 of the day for transport, and having the time to ourselves reading rather than being occupied worrying about the surroundings (Yes I mean driving). Life is good, and to achieve whatever we want in life, all I can say is, "Just do it!" - Nike ;)

"Difficult situations are rarely solved with positive thoughts or gratitude alone, however. It takes another crucial ingredient: Sustained action." - This was one of the many quotes that gives the impact from the book.

It's a brand new month, brand new week, brand new day tomorrow!

I have done quite a bit for today. Had a great lunch and dinner at Aston's.

As for this week, Wine Festival right outside our office where we get to taste the best wines from different countries of the world on Friday night. Site visit to our company's project which is obtaining TOP anytime soon on Saturday, and Halloween party and get to experience the craze in Clarke Quay at night.

Phew I must say, age is catching up!

And as for now, I shall end this post here with nothing other than a few vain pix of mine just because I think I'm pretty and I hope I actually look as pretty as the picture in real. lol whatever!

fashion shots!

Owh bring me back the enthusiasm!

Went for a little stroll after borrowing some VCDs from the library in Esplanade:

Awesome skyline of Singapore.

That's all for today.
Have a great week ahead peeps.

MIA for quite some time!

It has been a while! Since I last sat down and just type my hearts out. I do miss those days, channeling and sharing all my thoughts, which I am now restraining myself from doing so. Watched 2012 finally! I know, I'm just apathetic when it comes to movies. Great movie, total awesomeness I can watch it twice! (which is a big deal since I don't normally watch movies more than once.) The visual effect and storyline is meticulously composed and the moral of human just being a tiny dust of human and nothing much we can do when Mother nature takes her toll. And also karma. The funniest part of the movie is when the Russian Tycoon called everyone to 'shut up!' and when it was all silent, 'Engine Start.' with his low monstrous tone, seriously smart WTF -ness I don't know what to say.

It's a Sunday again.

And it's a pre-Monday-blues-day I think I prefer Fridays to Sundays. Blah. And I'm hungry now let me just quickly finish this post. Oh wait! I haven't announced that I've got TOP for my first job! TOP-No ~mee~ it's not for being top in the project but it's Temporary Occupancy Permit, where the building can be occupied and resume it's business finally! You have no idea how much headache and nonsense PeyChee and I had to go through with the tenants despite them not being in our so-called 'scope of work'. Seriously we have the right to just tell them off but oh-so-kind-us bit our lips and entertained them. But then, 好心没好报. We are sort of creating trouble to ourselves so moral of the day, don't try to get involved when it's non of your business, coz consequently nobody will appreciate your kindness and you are unconsciously creating trouble at the same time. Cruel eih what this industry is evolving me into? Hmm... :/

Okay, time to cook a little something to fill my stomach. Before that, let me share with you what I managed to grab from Kinokunya :)

Jia is back from her Shanghai trip where she met her friends from Japan and brought back a bunch of fill-our-stomach-greatness. And also more perfumes into our collection.

I wonder if she actually went China or Japan?

Unagi Avocado from Sakae Sushi.

Milk Shake made of Ice-cream scoops. hmmmm~

@ C.H.I.J.M.E.S, which is so Venice-ish.
It was a Church, then Protestant, and now a club.

Revolution I see?

TGIF tomorrow and I'm beginning to love Thursdays.

Just because it's Friday tomorrow.
And I look pretty in the pic. LOL!
So many things to share, but it seems like I've used up all my positive energy.
At times we just have to sit back and go with the flow.

When the Clock strikes 6!

When you start working, the best time of the day is when the clock strikes 6pm!

I finally came to realize that, because that's when work for the day is officially over. And the feeling of letting all go and thinking, 'I shall think about that crap tomorrow.' And I'm telling you, 7pm is not as good as 6pm. Why? Coz that's when the clock is ticking approaching the next day where craps and shits are awaiting you to solve.

And the best night of the week is Friday night. Why? Coz that's when there are 2 free days ahead of you, and the feeling of just anticipating is more exciting than actually experiencing it. We don't enjoy Sunday coz we know the next day is Monday, and Monday is always painted in blue colour.

It's just human nature I guess. We anticipate, yearn for it, and once we have got it, we tend not to enjoy it as much as when we are yearning for it, because by then, there are strings of other stuff which are bugging your mind.

Lesson of the whole interpretation, just be grateful for whatever we have. Even if we haven't got it yet, enjoy anticipating, enjoy hoping, because the destination may not be as awesome as the journey.

About work, things are crappy. BCA TOP inspection tomorrow before all compliances to be made and hallelujah finger crossed case closed asap but this new project which I am supposed to handle on my own. Yeah right, it might just be a lift but with all the government regulations to comply mamamia here we go again! The day was saved and meeting with the client went smoothly, at least a clearer guide to follow. And moral of the day? Try to get the hang of things and keep asking and asking and asking and asking until everyone explodes and you win! No seriously, any doubts? Ask until you understand, that's the thought which I have to plant in my head and just ask until I understand, don't care how idiontic I will look and how people see me, coz by the end of the day, I will have more knowledge than them and that's all that counts. Gosh I sound like a bitch but yeah, emotional intelligence is vital to survive in this world, paper will only take you to a certain level but eventually, it's all up to us on how far we want to go in life. What we want to achieve. People come and go, human dies, everyone dies. It's about what we do and live for that makes life worth while.

Succulent medium beef at Astons, Suntec City after work.

After work hours are always tiring, but it's the time of the day when we should give ourselves a pat at the back and treat ourselves with a good meal :)

Clement treated us that day.

Thank you so much!! :)

Us with red mongo on our way to the MRT from Raffles Link.

Ahhh a little indulgence and some snap shots which sprinkle cheers and joys into our day.

So it's Thursday tomorrow, and then TGIF!

Wow, how time flies! Although it's only Wednesday, NIGHT!

Tick tock tick tock and it's almost the end of 2010.

I am looking at 50 grand by end of this year, maybe I should join OMG - One moment of Glory. Oh well, this world just have it's uncanny ways to answer our needs :)
